Farm under fire
Wholearth Farmstudio has been the centre of a great deal of public controversy in recent years. Shepherd Montana Jones urged the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) not to kill her healthy rare breed sheep after they demanded most of her flock killed on suspicion of a sheep disease called scrapie. The CFIA is pursuing Montana Jones, raw milk advocate Michael Schmidt and Robert Pinnell with criminal charges related to the disappearance of Jones’s flock of rare heritage Shropshire sheep.
Now we’re trying to protect and preserve this special property, evolve into a new sustainable community model based on education and events, and regrow the farm as a friendly space for all.
